For a long time, I didn’t want to overtly bring political views into this space. But this is one of those times where I think it matters greatly not just THAT you vote, but WHO you vote for.
As a political science major, former resident of the DC area, and general “The West Wing” fanatic, I’d also be remiss if I didn’t say that there are a host of state and local elections that also matter greatly. All politics are local, friends. And these “down ticket” races are often the ones that have the biggest practical impact on your life.
So, here are some resources to make sure you’re registered, request a mail-in ballot, complete the 2020 Census, volunteer to be a poll worker (fellow lawyers, you can earn CLE credit for this), and learn about who is on the ballot in your area:

Making your voice heard matters. Standing up for what you believe in matters. And doing that through voting is a powerful exercise.
